By creating an account or using Study with Koala, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The Service
Study with Koala provides flashcards, quizzes, a Pomodoro timer, community groups, and AI-assisted study tools. The service is provided "as is" and features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid, personal email address to verify your account and keep your information accurate and up to date.
4. Free Plan
Study with Koala is currently offered as a no-cost educational study tool. We reserve the right to limit usage, impose quotas, or introduce paid tiers in the future to maintain the service and prevent abuse.
5. AI Features
Our AI study tools make use of third-party AI providers on the backend to generate summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and chat responses. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete, and should be used as a study aid rather than a sole source of truth. See our AI Policy for details.
6. Content
You retain ownership of the notes, files, and other content you submit. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you upload.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to disrupt or overload our systems, submitting unlawful or harmful content, impersonating others, or using the service to cheat on assessments in violation of your institution's policies.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we believe you have violated these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

How Study with Koala uses artificial intelligence.
1. How We Use AI
Study with Koala uses third-party AI models on the backend to help generate flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and chat responses ("Ask Koala") based on the notes and prompts you provide.
2. Accuracy
AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always double-check important facts and use AI output as a study aid, not as a substitute for your course materials or instructor.
3. Your Content & AI
Notes and prompts you submit may be sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not permit our AI provider to use your content to train their models outside of what is needed to deliver the service, and your content is never sold.
4. Academic Integrity
AI features are meant to support studying and understanding, not to complete graded work on your behalf. You are responsible for following your school's or institution's academic integrity policies.
